Julia Harfin Award – Best Emerging NewGen Speaker | ALADO 2026

During the XXV Congress of the Latin American Association of Orthodontics (ALADO), I had the honor of receiving the Julia Harfin Award – Best Emerging NewGen Speaker, a distinction created to recognize and encourage innovation among young orthodontists. At the congress, I presented Dental Biomech, a web-based platform designed to visualize orthodontic force systems in three dimensions. The project was developed to improve the teaching and understanding of orthodontic biomechanics through interactive 3D visualization. It was a privilege to share this work with orthodontic leaders from across Latin America, exchange ideas, and receive valuable feedback that will continue shaping the future of the platform. I am sincerely grateful to the Universidad Espíritu Santo (UEES) team for their continuous support and encouragement throughout this project, and to everyone who believed in its potential. Receiving this award motivates me to continue developing digital tools that contribute to orthodontic education and evidence-based clinical practice.
